dayton BR-1 6-1/2" 2-way monitor kit, anyone have these? (1 Viewer)

I would like to get one of these kits but I don't know if they will sound good with music (that would be there main use) I also am getting a shiva do you think these would match good with it? Also could you suggest any other speaker kits under $200 with premade boxes if these would not work for me? Thanks

I believe someone here built this kit a couple weeks ago and was very impressed with the sound for the cost of the kit. Go back a week or two and look for the tread or you can do a search. From what I heard, this kit is a sure winner for $139.

I built a pair of those a couple weeks ago and they're pretty OK
no bass really out of them, but they make fine rear surrounds, I used them for mains for a few days too, and they're fine with a subwoofer. Fairly detailed, I was worried about the midrane but it's not a problem.
built them in less than 2 hours.
