Can some one compare and contrast hsu vrt-3 and velodyne hgs 12 (1 Viewer)

My father-in-law owns a velodyne HGS-12. I just ordered a HSU VRT-3. I think he may be a little sceptical about the HSU. I know both are good, but I would appreciate it if an expert could compare and contrast these two subs so I can help explain to my fater-in-law. I would like to know the differnce in distortion and levels of output etc...

I'm far from an expert, I just reached the level of novice.

HSU VTF-3/$849/20hz-100dB, 31hz 112dB
Velodyne HGS12/$2000/issue 85/20hz-100dB, 31hz-107dB
You could add a 2nd VTF-3 and still save a couple hundred off of buying one HGS12.
HSU (2) VTF-3/$1700/20hz-106dB, 31hz 118dB
Throw that in your father in-laws face
