Didn't see another thread reporting this news, so...
DVD File says

A couple of DVD tidbits have just come in for you...attention Buffy The Vampire Slayer fans! Fox has already announced a date for the next volume of Buffy on DVD, May 2002. If you pick up Buffy: The Complete First Season next week, watch for a little insert in the package advertising The Complete Season Two. It's gonna be a six-disc set, and will likely boast similar features to the Region 2 version already released. Stay tuned for final specs.

Addendum: This is gonna be one heck of an expensive year for TV on DVD!

WooHoo! It looks like Fox is going to try to catch up with the UK (or get as close as they can). (i.e. The Region 2 releases have been 6 months apart just like X-Files box sets, it looks like 4 months between sets for the U.S.). So we can look foreward (hopefully) to Season 3 around September.
Let's all show some love for Mr. Straddon and everyone at Fox Home Ent. for treating us so well
(and draining our wallets so efficently.)
