I am looking for the best svhs vcr for around $200. I only record over the air broadcasts mostly and don't need any fancy editing features. I do however need 2 extra svhs inputs as I run my Direct Tv and Dish network feeds through it so I can seemlessly switch between the inputs. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Is there a certain brand which stands out? I have had two Hitachi vcrs and they were good but Hitachi looks like they got out of building them.

Kyle,

I found a nice well equipped Philips S-VHS VCR at Circuit City a while back for around $169. Works like a charm for me and picture quality looks great too.

I only use one to tune analog TV with my proj. but got a JVC at Costco for $119. I figured if I ever wanted to play with recording I would at least have the capability.
