ZVOX has expanded its lineup of dialogue clarifying speakers for the hard-of-hearing with the flagship AV357 Home Theater Sound Bar ($299.99). ‘Accuvoice’ hearing aid technology combined with the company’s own ‘SuperVoice’ feature (the latter letting users reduce TV background sounds) promise to bring voices to the front and center of the soundstage. ZVOX says that the manipulation of the audio signal to lift dialogue out of the mix is “astonishing”.
There are an included 12 levels of dialogue boost levels to tailor sound to an individual’s needs, and there are both digital and analog inputs to cater for most display types. An ‘Output Leveling’ system also takes care of annoying and over-loud commercials. The new AV357 increases bass response compared to other offerings from the company with its larger MDF-based cabinet.
