Brad, thanks for the heads-up about which German sets have edited episodes and which don't.
Like Chris, I haven't yet reached the point where I'm going to go ahead and purchase the German sets. But if/when I feel like there really is no hope of getting Region 1 versions of the later years, I'll definitely turn to those (starting with the unedited volumes of the final 3 seasons).
