Knowing Hollywood's penchant for updating stuff and making it "fresher", they might prefer the newer remake -- ironically by that icon of the 80s, Duran Duran...

I guess it depends whether the new Vice will be set in the 80s, or updated to today. If today, it'll seem a bit odd to have actual 80s "standards" on the soundtrack. Perhaps 80s-esque songs, not actually from the 80s, would make more sense? Or new releases by 80s icons, e.g. Sunrise by aforesaid Duran.

But two must-haves would surely be the main theme by Jan Hammer, and Crockett's Theme.
