The pisser is that I have NEVER had issues syncing up my phone with the PC version--always iPhones and Windows-based computers. And I've been a DVD Profiler user for a very long time.
Something just...changed. (I was really hoping the next iOS upgrade would nudge things back in order.)
I...
My iPhone 11 has now updated to iOS 17.3.1
Still a no go with being able to update my collection in DVD Profiler from my phone's DVD Profiler.
I have double checked the IP address and the port. I made sure "Allow changes from remote clients" is checked. Access is granted over my subnet.
I...
I see the Invelos/DVD Profiler forum is not accessible today.
Is that a result of the same server maintenance? Because they have continued to remain online, haven't they?
It's really kinda impressive that someone is still keeping that ship afloat...even if any new software development has been given the heave-ho.
I had purchased the lifetime membership MANY years ago and it is quite nice to think that they decided to not just let the software/database die an...
I just started having a problem with my DVD Profiler.
My work flow is to scan bar codes on the Profiler app on my iPhone to add titles to my collection. I will then connect the app on my phone to the app on my PC and "Update database" so that all titles exist in both places.
However, as of...
I have been putting off my iPhone 11's upgrade from iOS 14.8.1 to 15.3.1...entirely due to the issue that some people had reported with Profiler 4.0 not running correctly on iOS 15+.
I guess I'm wondering if this is still an issue.
And, even if it is, I guess I can move ahead since DVD...
I never thought-it-through that when I scanned a barcode to add a title to my collection that I was accessing their servers and that there would be a risk of losing that capability someday. I guess I was naive thinking that database would always just "be there."
Why would Invelos even sink any...
My iPhone 11 is running iOS 14.8.1 and occasionally will throw on its flashlight beam when scanning SKUs (even in a not very dark room). It also will occasionally take a few seconds to focus/read the code. But nothing major. So I'm afraid I can't be of much help, Man.
But you are making me...
So all this talk about finding an alternative to DVD Profiler sprang from a report that the software wasn't running correctly under iOS 15. That has been disproven, has it not?
Because even though it has apparently been forsaken by its development team, I figure I'll continue with DVD...
A year-and-a-half later and still wondering the same thing.
The program still works great and does what I need it to do (and a lot more) so I'm not complaining. More curious, I guess, than anything else.
GREAT software.
I've just spent a fair amount of time updating my DVD Profiler and now have a question.
Does anyone know if there will ever be any more updates?
It's been a couple years now since 4.0.0 was released.
The Invelos forums still seem pretty active, but I don't see any talk of anything new in the...
I'm a little disappointed. They are billing this as 4.0.0 Build 1753.
But I don't see any noticeable changes to the page layout or formatting. I guess I was expecting a shiny new finish to the dependable old gal.
Here is what Ken Cole put in his OP of the 4.0.0 thread in the Invelos Forum:
Ten years after unveiling DVD Profiler 3.0, Invelos.com has now introduced a Beta version of DVD Profiler 4.0.
I have closed THIS thread on the prior versions of Profiler and am starting this new thread moving forward.
I am currently installing the 4.0.0 Beta.
