this is a long shot, but check to make sure there is no cellophane wrap between the speaker baffle and the screen (from packaging). I had a bad static sound for about a month before i noticed this on my speakers. All i could do was just lol when i figured it out it was something that stupid.

Damn, im really kicking myself! I just bought a Panny S14 which is NOT THX certified. I kinda wish i would have gone with the G10 now! I'm still very pleased with the picture, but if the THX makes that much of a dif I kinda regret not dropping the extra cash for the G10.
