I agree, the Murder One opening was brilliantly done. I've never been a fan of either of the Star Trek title sequences. The only one I liked was Deep Space 9.

Here's one of the worst title sequences I've seen: Hunter- I couldn't stand the music! Blech! Hated it.

Here's one more favorite title sequence: Without a Trace- The music and the visuals are so thoughtfully mixed together so perfectly and wonderfully, it's literally heartpounding.

I agree. Alias's new version sucks. It's one of those what were they thinking? situations. It's like what if Law & Order changed it's title seqence to Sam Waterston dancing to Eurodance music; it's not good.

Carnivale's title sequence is pure brilliance. I didn't list it as one of the best because it's in a class on it's own. But here are two more title sequences I love: The West Wing- It screams elegance and hubris and elitism and I love it! Hill Street Blues- It's too good to describe.

I was expecting one of those (in the words of my Law and Order fan side) when Southerlyn replaced Carmichael situations. Instead we got a Van Buren/Cragen situation or even a (dare I say it) McCoy/Stone.

UPDATE: According to my friend, there's apparently supposed to be a meeting with Shout! Factory sometime next month about the potential of some Buena Vista Television library titles. According to him, one of the titles being bandied around is Blossom, so that is probably the show being released...

In my opinionation (lol), my hunch is that the show coming to DVD is Blossom. And the third party distributor could be anyone (Shout Factory, Image, Lion's Gate, etc.)

The worst score I've ever heard was probably the one for Troy. Blech! Add to the list Danny Elfman's scores pre-Beetlejuice. I saw The Aviator last week. Let me just say that was the best score I've listened to since Star Wars. The closing credit theme gave me chills.
