Hey, have you guys seen the new Region B bluray for The Terminator? There's been hardly any publicity, and I only stumbled across it accidently. But it has a new HD remaster, and it looks FANTASTIC!!!
I dont have the original release to compare against, but this version is beautifully sharp and...
I was just wondering this. Now that we have full HD with 1920x1080p resolution and lossless audio, how much better can home theatre actually get? Is there anything on the horizon (eg. say the next 5-10yrs) that is going to make all this investment in blu-ray and new receiver gear...

Any advice would be great.
Thanks oh wise forum,
Khai

With BluRay and HDTV releases apparently able to provide 1080p/24 images, does this makes PAL/NTSC comparisons a thing of the past? Or will BluRay/HDTV releases in Region 4 etc be at PAL frame rates?
Just a little confused about how HDMI connections will change my current setup. My current setup is: 1) DVD video connected to TV via component cable. 2) DVD audio connected to A/V receiver via optical cable. I understand that HDMI have digital uncompressed video and audio in the one...
