I upgraded all my audio equipment and no longer need these 2 items, I have a Pioneer VSX 453 100W A/V Dolby pro logic receiver and a Pioneer M403 6 disc cd player, I have owned both since brand new and they work great, any questions shoot me a Email, $125 shipped in US only. Pic PIC Canon...
Thanks, yes that was easier I brought it out 1.5 intalled port with plenty of clearance, another problem is the 6.75 they tell you to cut for port hole is to big for the flange PE sells 6.25 would of worked better.
Got my 4" port today, guess what My amp is in the way I have to move amp to the left 4 inches  or I can fur amp out 1 inch what do you guys think my best bet is??
What kind of material do you have on the walls?? I made some acoustic panels for my HT room using R30, poly batting, burlap and I made 6 of them so far planing on 2 more, but after I install 4 one in each corner and 2 in ceiling corners it made a HUGE difference the High freq sounded better and...
This sub is Amazing I ran it for a few hours at normal volume last night then i got on it today and all the windows in my house where rattling, and I have the port sealed because I am waiting on ups for 4" flared port, I am guessing from what I have read that adding port it will play deeper and...
Thanks, It did come out very nice, I used the bed liner spray linked in Wayne Ernst post, thanks to Kyle R @ Acoustic Visions for the great driver and great service.
I had a hard time getting the flat black coat even, I had a gallon of KILZ house primer left over from painting my house that I used for first coat its white very exspensive primer, that was my mistake I think, it looks good though I like it alot,
This is my first DIY sub it was alot of work but I am very Impressed with this design I am still waiting on 4" flared port so I am running it sealed and it sounds great, I will take some more pics with amp and bottom, I thought I would post these because I could not find any pics of Shiva EBS...
Brian, After geting the EBS all together It is looking like the 4" port will be very close to Amp if not hitting it, have you built a EBS with Amp in rear??
Rich-R This is my first DIY sub but I do know that it is better to use the Tnuts if you use drywall screws they will hold just fine but if you take your driver out more than a couple times the holes from screws will weakin, good luck
looks good, I just got done filling in screw holes on my EBS shiva box and its the hardest part of whole project next time no screws for me, took 3 coats of wood filler to get it ready for finish.
Thanks for reply, I allready have 11" hole cutout, the Shiva is 12.25 total diameter, I have a jig so I guess I really dont even need rabbet bit, I can use my 1/4 upcut to get same results, I have 11' cutout screwed to board under sub bottom plate that I use to connect jig to center point...
Just about finished with Ebs shiva sub only cuts left are recess around 11' cutout. I am having trouble finding a rabbet bit the correct size, so I decided to get one thats 1/4 radius and make 2 passes to get 1/2, is this the correct size 1/2 for shiva recess?? and how deep?? 3/8??
I would go with the deep moroon myself, I think i would also go flat less glare on the big screen, I have a seperate room for HT 16x12 and another room 20x14 for family everyday tv so if your using your HT room for both you might have get the ok from the better half if there is one, good luck
Nevermind sick with cold today sizes are ok,I am using 3/4 MDF, Thanks frank thats just what I needed to hear to get me going on this project. just checked my tracking and my sub and amp are coming tues 12/30 and then i have to wait untill friday for flared 4" port geez only ordered it a day...
Thanks for info, Right now I am deciding betwwen the 85L ported or the EBS 142.5L, If anyone can give me there opinions on the EBS sound is it solid or boomy?? I was thinking if I built the 85L ported i could plug port to see how the sealed sounded. not sure how well that would work with the EBS.
Hi all, I am having a very tough time deciding on the box size and type for my 12' shiva, I have the shiva and 250W plate amp on its way, I will be using Sub for 50/50 HT/Music my room size is 16x12 I have acoustic panels in all corners even ceiling corners in room so the room gain makes great...
