I've heard that there are dozens and dozens of different adjustable settings. Is the THX setting a warmer, softer display? How would the THX stand up in a room with a lot of ambient light?

Ah well, guess everyone was too busy to help. I went ahead and placed my order, but substituted the Onkyo SR608 receiver and LG RC897T dvd/vcr converter. How I'll set up the room, I have no idea, but at least the equipment order is in processing!

Thanks, Ed. I think I'm sold on the Onkyo. I'm a bit concerned about the heating issue, but I'm going to try to setup my components so the Onkyo is in the open air, and not in a position to roast any of the other components. What do you do to avoid heating problems with yours?
