    Glare Buster

https://www.glarebusters.com/ I'm skeptical, has anyone tried this product or similar product. I have bad glare on my screen during the day and there's not much I can do about it unless there's a product like this that works and won't destroy my screen.

Soo, what do you all think of this idea to wire my surrounds?

dunno if there's a way to reseal it or not. I'm not talking about a huge hole in the carpet I'm talking about a slit about 1-2 inches in length. From my experiments once I pull up the wire I couldn't see the slit and only knew it was there because I did it. Plus it's an apartment so I don't...

Soo, what do you all think of this idea to wire my surrounds?

I just moved into an apartment and it took me a long time to figure out how to get my rear speakers setup. I went with running the lines under the carpet. I just cut a slit in the back where I wanted the speaker and slit in front where the receiver is. Then took electrician's fish line and ran...

    Stupid mistakes you've made

I'm rofl at all of Ted's. Oh I did the exact same thing, Colin. In fact I gave up on it and was going to return the cable. A few days later I picked up the package to take it back and one of the tips had fallen off and was rolling around in the box. I swear you could've seen the light bulb...

    Stupid mistakes you've made

I'm a noob and I know I learn from mine and others past goof ups. So I'm going to share one I did tonight and hopefully more will follow. So I get my new speakers in today, jbl nsp1's and a sony wm40 sub. I was in a hurry just to hear them so I set them up in a none optimal fashion. The sub...

    nsp1 + wm40, crossover point on sub

Nope using a Harman Karden avr125. The small and large settings seems to be a pretty common among receivers though. Can't say weither it's good or bad yet, maybe tomorrow I'll be able to pass judgement. Not that I have anything to really compare it against.

    nsp1 + wm40, crossover point on sub

Getting my speakers today (what a great day, speakers plus Lotr EV, AND AOTC) I'm curious where I should set the crossover point on the sub. Also my receiver allows me to set each set of speakers (front, center, surrond) to either small or large basically wether to send full signal or just...

Also I just want to point out that Blockbuster does have modified Dvds content wise. It's a pretty rare occasion but it does happen. For example if your looking for a "Requiem for a Dream" Dvd you'll get a heavily modified version specially done for Blockbuster.

HK AVR125, question about auto-detect on digital audio

This is kind of a double post from the newbie forum, so sorry up front but after a little response I figured out it's really a receiver specific problem. The problem is whith my directv. It works perfectly with true DD 5.1 signals and the receiver switches to Dolby dital on it's own. The...

Directv + Tivo, A question about Dobly digital and non-digital channels

I have to contend with the wife factor here so I have to make it easy to switch between optical and analog if I do it. I need to play with my universal remote to see if this is possible. Yep the HK is set to auto-detect, which is default and I'm not for sure if I can make it not do it. The...
