Hi Wayne, Yes, the sub sounds much better now. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical on the differences before I started equalizing, but I wanted to give it a shot and I don't regret it. The graph with the mains on shows the sub with phase set to 180 (reversed). Before I reversed the phase I had...
Hi Wayne, I finally got the time to experiment with BFD. The following two graphs are showing sub only measurements and measurements with the mains on. This is the best I could do so far. One thing I want to point out is that the dip at 89 did not want to go away. No matter how wide the...
Hi Wayne, I finally got my BFD connected this weekend and put in the first filter, sat down and started taking measurements. I immediately noticed that something was wrong. The frequencies were going up and down all over the graph- not what was expected. I rechecked if all but one filters...
Thanks Wayne. I was hopping you'll join this thread. I was reading a lot of posts from you and Brucek on this forum and learned a great deal about equalizing and house curve. I just don't have any practical experience with it. There's one thing I'm still not sure about - do I need to flatten...
OK. Finally the problem is solved. I had a faulty cable. Now, I can start working on the graph. Does anyone have any suggestions? How should I approach a peak at 32Hz? If I try to create a house curve (which I kind of have) how much should I lower the peak and how do I and should I flatten...
I've rechecked all settings yesterday - everything seems in order. Also all connections are clean. I'm running out of ideas. Does anyone has any opinions? Can anyone comment on the graph? Ruslan.
Ed, The speakers are disconnected. I don't know if it's possible to switch them off electronically. However, all speakers are set to small with the subwoofer on and crossover set at 100Hz. I'm not sending LFE to mains. I'm not sure whether the tones are stereo or Dolby, but I've also tried...
Ed, The subwoofer is a powered 25-31PC+. It is connected to the Denon's subwoofer preout. P.S. Strangely the link doesn't work, but if you copy and paste the link in your browser it works. Ruslan.

Thanks for the replies. I was using Styke's basszone cd and the volume is -15 below reference (calibrated to 75db). The image shows everytime I reload this page - strange.
Hello forum, I've been trying to create my first graph on the SVS 25-31 and ran into problems. I've set my receiver to the reference level (75db) and started playing the test tones. However, the receiver kept on shutting off on the 32Hz tone. I lowered the volume to -5 below reference and was...
Michael, I think that INDAY has the separate model which is audio switch only. I'm not sure if it has direct access via remote though. Plus, you pay about twice the price for two separate switches. But, I do like the option of direct access and was concerned about auto detection of AA. Thanks...
Thanks for all positive comments! I'll try to play with the sub this weekend - I live in apartment complex so I don't want to play 75/85db LFE notes after I come from work ;). Plus, calibration takes some time - especially when something doesn't sound right. I'll keep you posted when I have some...
Michael, Do you know how these two compare in performance? I've read a few threads about these switches but nobody really answered this question. Thanks, Ruslan.
Wow, looks like I started the war. Sorry, it wasn't intentional. I apologize if I offended any SVS loyalists or Tom and Ron in any way this wasn't intentional either. All I wanted is to get the best results and asked for a little help. All I can say is thanks to all who have done so (I wont...
Jake, how do you like your switch? I was considering that one too. It seems to have enough bandwidth for the reasonable price. How are the ergonomics, is it easy to use? Billy, thanks for the suggestion. I'll look it up. Ruslan.
I've already posted this question in another thread, but didn't get any responses. I'm looking for a descent and inexpensive component video switch with good bandwidth to path HD signal. Can anyone recommend any particular model? Thanks, Ruslan.
Thanks guys. I do have the meter and actually have all of the calibration dvds (avia, ve and sv). I can play with sitting position, but not with the sub position. The peak, however is very noticable even by ear. The sound gets much louder below 60Hz and gets soft right below 50Hz. My current...
Jimmy, Thanks for your comment. I guess the real question is what can I do to improve the sound if can't move the sub more than a few inches. Thanks, Ruslan.
Ron, Thanks so much for your reply. You continue to provide that much praised excelent customer support. Believe me my priorities are to get the good bass and only return it if I can't achieve the desired result. In that case I won't be looking for any subwoofer purchases until I move to...
Hi, I'm not sure if this thread belongs here. I need to get a decent and resonably priced component video switch with good bandwidth. Could anybody please recommend a product or point me to the right web site? Thanks, Ruslan.
