1. FINDING NEVERLAND - A nearly perfect film. Fantastic performances from the entire cast and an engaging story makes for a very memorable movie. For the first time in a long time, I was close to shedding a tear. 2. NAPOLEON DYNAMITE - Surpassed Office Space as the greatest comedy ever...
Well, I went ahead and took the Toshiba back and got a 30 inch Phillips instead. Of course, now I have a new problem. (rolls eyes) After I turn on the TV, if I switch AV channels, there'll be this odd grey interferance at the top of the screen. But if I turn the TV off, and back on, it goes away...
Sorry for leaving out some details, I made the original post in a hurry. The Toshiba I have is 26HF14. It's 26 inches, and as I said, a tube TV. The DVD player I have is a part of a Panasonic SA-HT692 home theater system. The player and reciever are all in one, and it includes a subwoofer...
I recently bought a Tobshiba HD Widescreen tube TV. The problem I have is most evident when I'm watching DVDs. There are reletively faint horizonal lines that are visible on the screen from top to bottom. They don't move, they just appear as if they are part of the picture. They aren't so...
1. The Fantasia Anthology 2. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - Extended Edition 3. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 4. Looney Tunes: Golden Collection 5. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - Extended Edition 6. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones 7...
OK, thanks for the info. I'm doing a speech in speech class on the differences between Widescreen & Fullscreen and am going to incorperate aspect ratios into it. So you've been a good help. :)
I know that configurations like 1.35:1 simply means the width is 1.35 times the height. But in technical terms, what does 4:3 and 16:9 mean? I know they represent widescreen & fullscreen, but please put it into technical wording - I have a hard time understanding what they represent.
To avoid people asking me why I have a movie in my collection, I right my opinion of it and why I own it underneath the title for all to see. I know some of the films in my collection are considered by the vast majory to suck, but I own them either because: A) I like 'em or B) they remind me...
INSIDE INFO: A certain someone up at Skywalker Ranch interviewed Lucas about changes in the Indy DVDs. Here's what he had to say: GL: Well, I always felt that when kids watched IJ, they would be too saddened by the death of the monkey who ate the dates. So I've taken the scene out of the...
I haven't been able to find any info on it. Can anyone tell me if there is an estimate for a release date/what any special features will be? Thanks. :)
I loved this movie in theaters, so I'll definately be picking this DVD up. This one beats out the latest Bond adventures and definately beats Triple X's ass. :emoji_thumbsup:
The disc looks great, and I thought the movie was pretty darn funny - having Denise Richards in it helped too. I'd say its just as good as Goldmember (which I wasn't dissapointed in as much as others were). My sister wants to buy this, so I'll probably borrow it from her and check it out...
I've gotten my Jurassic Park Trilogy Box Set autographed by Stan Winston.
And while this wasn't a DVD, I just HAVE to tell you about it:
I got a LOTR poster autographed by:
Elijah Wood
Richard Taylor
Billy Boyd
Dominic Monagahn
Lawrence Makroe (Lurtz)
Sala Baker (Sauron)
Daniel...
I picked up my copy at Best Buy today and used a coupon for 10% off. Plus, I got the last Widescreen copy left that had one of them free pocket watches in the package. :emoji_thumbsup:
Due to waiting hours in line for TTT and finals schedule, I'll be forced to go through this set on Friday...
