The suitcase packaging is a nice touch. However, I hope they add a few slots in the suitcase for future bond releases. At least allow us to put Casino Royale in the suitcase.
According to Digital Bits, Disney is mulling over releasing a extended cut of the film later this year or next year. I'm thinking it's going to happen close to the release of the next chapter sometime around Christmas 2007. Furthermore, I don't think Disney included any deleted scenes on the 2...
What happened to this release for R1? I held off buying the initial dvd set because the director had said a new 2 disc special edition is in the works.
After seeing Kill Bill, I definitely feel that it was right to split the movie into 2 parts. It would be way too much to take in as one sitting. I really liked the film a lot. Can't wait for the dvds. If it's like the LOTR dvds and the super duper double feature is the extended version then I'll...
With the recent price reduction on the Superman Collection box set, i was considering buying it. However, with recent box set reissues happening (ie-Alien set), I was wondering if a reissue would occur in the next year or so. Some things missing from the current set is 5.1 sound for part 2,3,4...
The Target exclusive bonus disc is at total sham. The feature is the same one found on the actual movie disc. What upsets me is that I showed up early just to grab a copy at Target when I could have just went to Best Buy and got the film cel.
I got my replacement case too and I feel the same way that all of you feel that the metal case is just a waste. If we try to put the new amaray back in then it will be damaged again. So what I did was take the previously damaged case and delicately cut off the plastic outer lining and forgo the...
I just saw the dvd at a local B&M and the retail was $14.99. It is only 1 disc and it is Dolby Surround 2.0. I did not pick it up since I was not sure of the quality of this version. I still want to wait until I read some more reviews of this dvd.
Besides Twin Peaks, this may affect other special edition dvds in the pipeline. For example, Angel Heart and Red Heat to name a few. Both were mentioned a while ago.
I decided to buy the windtalkers set along with Dances with Wolves at a low price of $35 at Best Buy. I have to admit, the packaging for the Windtalkers is amazing. Not at elaborate at Pearl Harbor Vista but definitely nice. Is it me, but does anybody also feel that the Dances with Wolves...
I picked up the box set from Best Buy today. I think the transfers for the new dvds are considerably better than the old dvds. I also saw Sum of All Fears for the first time and I thought it was very entertaining.
I picked up the box set a few days ago. I agree that the first one is the best. However, the third movie is pretty decent too. It's more of a prequel to the first movie. The second movie is sorta stand alone in a way but it's not that great. Unfortunately, the first two are non anamorphic. But...
I did not have a chance to participate in the chat but any mention of a re-release of the Superman movies similiar to what Fox is doing with the Alien movies. I remember the last WB chat where they were looking into putting together a special edition of Superman II. Any mention of the Batman...
I'm a big John Woo fan but this movie was horrible. This is my opinion only. I don't care if they add an hour to this movie, I still won't buy it. I felt that the movie was too long as it is.
This was posted on www.darkhorizons.com The Matrix: Special Edition (DVD): On April 29th, a few weeks shy of the first sequel's release, Warners will put out a special two-disc set for the original box-office smash with all sorts of stuff. All the extras that appeared on the single-disc...
I'm a big fan of the movie series and I am still holding out for a anamorphic version of Highlander 3 and believe it or not, Highlander 2. I know a fifth movie is already in the works at Dimension. Will the third movie be released in s anamorphic or special edition version to possibly coincide...
I picked up Signs today and was extremely dissappointed with the packaging and extras. Not a whole lot on the disc. Why call it Vista when it's nothing more than a 1 disc dvd with a few extras. Maybe I was spoiled with Pearl Harbor Vista but I was expecting more for a Vista title. After Who...
I think this policy extends to their feature films (non animated) too. Read the review for Signs-Vista at www.dvdfile.com. There is only one disc and lacking in the supplements department. Isn't Vista usually 2 disc sets? Hopefully, the 2 disc Vista of Who Framed Roger Rabbit is still a go!
For the last few years, I have been thinking about the inevitable star wars box set. I was even reluctant to buy attack of the clones because by buying the eventual box set, I'll have two copies of that movie. But I caved in because I don't anticipate a box set til 2006-2007. I'm thinking and...
I'm definitely getting the Gift Set. I think it's cool that once the other two films are released on dvd with the same packaging as the extended version dvd, you can put the dvds side by side between the bookends. I am curious whether or not there will be gift sets for the next two installments...
Good info Matt. By the way, how are the statues? What kind of material is it? Also was the National Geographic dvd interesting or just alot of fluff? I'm still wondering if the box set which retails for about 60 to 70 dollars is really worth it...
I got a feeling that New Line will not produce a lot of these Gift Sets. I thought I heard awhile ago that the Gift Sets were numbered editions.....I could be wrong. But, it's hard to imagine New Line producing alot of the bookends and retailers making permanent space for the boxes...My...
Anybody buying the Gift Set? I loved the film but can't decide whether to buy the Gift Set or not.....Does anybody here think the Gift Set is worth $40 which is what most retailers are selling it for.
I don't know if this was brought up earlier but as I viewed the 3rd bonus disc on the Ultimate set, I noticed that it saids Disc II on the screen. I'm think that originally the 2 disc set was the 1st disc that we know of and this disc as the supplements disk. So the difference was the original...
The Gift Set is awesome. The box is a very reasonable size and not very bulky at all. I knew I had to get it the very first moment I laid eyes on it. As someone pointed out earlier, the packaging reminds me of how special edition laserdiscs were once housed.
Some time ago I heard that Paramount would re-release the first 3 Tom Clancy dvds as remastered special editions. So I was hoping for a 4 pack box set. Has anybody else heard about this?
I still can't decide whether or not to get this dvd. I was all for it until everyone started to say that a special edition will be released by next year. Does anyone really believe Paramount will re-release this one again? They have only done this with Star Trek but that's a special case. If it...
