Does anyone have the Sharp 12000 DLP? If so, I would like to hear your review of the projector. As I have mentioned before in this forum, I am ready to purchase either a Runco 1000ci or the Sharp 12000. Since the Runco is nearly twice the $$$, you can appreciate my concern.
I have seen a Runco VX1000ci DLP projector and I am very impressed!! I am ready to purchase one. Does anyone own said projector?--and if so, comments please.
In terms of sharpness of focus, what is the best DLP front projector available today regardless of price? (For a 16:9 screen size of approximately 100" diag.) Is there a particular projector, and if so, what is the approximate cost? Many thanx for any info.
Do you use an external scaler with your front projection DLP projector? If your projector has an internal scaler built in, does the external do a better job at creating a sharp image?
CRT projector images have much better background detail that do DLP's. HDTV when projected by a DLP has outstanding backround detail. DVD's when projected by a DLP have poor background detail due to "pixel breakup." Can we expect DLP technology to reach a state that equals CRT and/or approaches...
What do you consider is the best all-round DLP projector for $25,000 or less? I am particularly concerned with sharpness of focus projected on a screen of approximately 100" diag.
In my home theater I have a front SharpVision 9000 projector throwing an image on a 100" diag. screen. I just installed DirecTv's HDTV monitor and have subscribed to their introductory 4 HD channel package. I am in total awe over the image! The color rendition is outstanding and the acuity of...
I have a Sharpvision xvz9000u. I am thinking of upgrading to the Sharpvision 10000 or Runco vx1000c. Any info regarding these two projectors? Or....is their a better front end projector for under $20,000?
My favorite film musical of all time is "The Music Man" (Oops--it is actually titled: Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man") I swear to god@ heavenabove.com that I can watch that film on a weekly basis and never grow tired of it.
("I always think there's a band, kid"--Preston--The Music Man)
To start things off, mine was: a 16mm Pathe Newsreel followed by a 16mm Tom and Jerry Cartoon, followed by the main feature, a DVD: "The Music Man". Popcorn and libations for all. :)
Whether alone, or entertaining others, what was your home theater movie program? For starters, mine was : a 16mm Pathe newsreel followed by a 16mm Tom and Jerry cartoon, followed by the main program of the DVD, "The Music Man".
I am baffled (pun intended)---I am getting hollow sounding audio output from my front speakers/center speaker arrangement. Any help in resolving this problem will be appreciated.
