Thanks Paul, After doing a little research on the Panny, it seems only the commercial models display a native Pal. My display is consumer based so it does not output a native Pal signal (the DVD player has to convert it, right? ... i'm bad with the technical area, hope this makes some sense.)...

Just to follow up, i placed a small order from CD-WOW, 2 discs, and one of them arrived in a matter of days but the other which shipped the same day still has not arrived. Being that it hasn't been 7-10 days since it shipped i normally wouldn't care but with the other coming so soon i don't know...

Sorry to jump in again, but on my menu mode, its a Sony XBR, it reads 16X9 enhanced. So if you switch to yes isn't that doing the squeeze trick? Again Sorry :)

Thanks for the advice. I recalibrated again using my old player and it looks much better, but i still haven't had a chance to play around with the JVC user modes, hopefully this will help the picture in progressive mode. It's a little off topic and this should probably be in the TV section...
