I heard that Mohinder's friend is also Desmond's friend from ep 9 of Lost. I also found this: "Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof and Tim Kring, creator of NBC’s Heroes, are friends and used to work together on Crossing Jordan."
I agree completely. If the show is that bad then change the channel. Spare those of us who are actually interested the repeated complaints. I'm surprised that no-one has suggested that the arm belongs to the one person we've met on the show who is missing one. Dr. M Candle. Harry.
I think Des will eventually work out how to prevent the plane crash and show Penny how to find the island (arctic station in 2.24), and the two skeletons in the caves will turn out to be Des and Penny. So far we have seen 3 versions of the Des and Penny photo, the one Des has on the island...
Just to clarify a point made above, the US theatrical cut has been trimmed by 27 minutes, the soundtrack was also re-scored for the US market and a DTS track added. The international cut has DD5.1 only. Harry.
I have a Denon 3803 & DVD-2200, connected with a cheap(not glass) optical connection. Last night I noticed about a dozen audio dropouts while watching Passion of the Christ R4, which is in full bitrate DTS. I have never noticed an audio dropout before on my system, I have also never played a...
Just wanted to confirm that the region 4 release is also full-bitrate DTS. One other thing I noticed - the menu audio is DD 3/0/0. Edit: I am experiencing audio dropouts on the DTS track, it doesn't do it in the same spot twice. I am using Denon DVD-2200 and AVR-3803. Has anyone else...
I am not farmiliar with the 2805 but I have a 3803, on the 3803 you select the audio source, then press the video select button on the front panel. Now use the input selector knob on the front panel to select the video source. If you have a JP1 remote you can get the codes to do the whole lot...
You might want to check the speaker wires where they connect to the amp, there might be a strand of wire causing the terminals to short, this will cause it to go into protect mode.
I have noticed the jumping when viewing analog TV with rabbit ears antenna (don't laugh - I cant get digital TV here yet) on my X1, some days I get better reception than others, it only seems to jump on the bad days, never had any probs with any other sources.
Interesting thread, one thing that occurred to me concerning the sub connected to the main speaker terminals/main pre outs - what happens to the +10db on the LFE channel with DD and DTS material?? The boost must not be happening in this configuration to prevent overdriving the mains?? Any...
I have an Infocus X1, it does the same thing when the zoom is adjusted - the bigger the image size the higher up the bottom of the image is. I have my DVD player connected via the VESA input (progressive component signal), in the menu under picture>advanced there is an adjustment for the...
I tried this last night. My speakers are B&W603s1, 2 way with a passive radiator. I level matched the channels as described above, but when I biamped I had to boost the level of the mid amp by about 30db, so I had no way of accurately matching the levels of the hi vs mids. It did sound good...
Calibrate colour and tint using the s-video input, save this setting in one of the user presets, switch to computer input and load that preset, tweak brightness and contrast and save again.
They should work, I used some on my new X1 to get me by for a few days until my component cable turned up - the component cables looked better but I still got a good picture through the cheapo cords. Check to see if there's a switch on the back of the DVD player to switch video output mode, or...
Here's a thought, 2 projectors - one front proj and one rear proj, twice the brightness, convergence wouldn't be hard at all. Edit- Now that I think about it - the screen would be a problem, rear proj would need a different type screen than a FP setup. You might also get light from one proj...
I am wondering if this is true for PAL source material, am I right in assuming the Faroudja chip is a lot more important for NTSC material than it is for PAL? 3:2 pulldown is not an issue with PAL right? I will be able to campare for myself in a few days when my component to s-video...
The VGA port will not accept an interlaced signal, you need to get the component to s-video adapter for interlaced component sources. You use the VGA port with a progressive scan DVD player. The s-video port has 3 extra pins, so it can function as an s-video or a component input. The faroudja...
I'm about to buy an Infocus X1 DLP projector, and have a couple of questions. I have demo'ed a SP4800 but cannot get a demo of an X1, I understand the firmware and default settings are different between the two. I was very impressed by the image of the 4800, I am assuming I can get the same...
Thanks for the replies. I can get the projector for $2990 aus. I went to another dealer and they had the infocus 4800 DLP on display, the picture looked considerably better than the Hitachi, the room I demoed the infocus in wasn't very dark either. I can get the infocus for $3100 with a free...
I'm looking for an entry level projector, so far the only unit I've demo'ed is the hitachi pj-tx10 LCD(its the only one in stock locally). Has anyone had any experience with this model, if so what are your opinions? Are there other models I should consider in the same price range? Thanks in...
Mines replacing a pioneer 515 or 525 and a cheap sony changer. I bought a 3803 not too long back, CD playback was the biggest improvement over my Yammie DSP-A3090, cant wait to hear them through the 2200.
Thanks stewart, lucky I asked on here instead of asking at the dealer, they probably would have charged me an extra $100 and said they did a mod to it. What do you think of the player? What receiver do you have and can it do DVD-A and SACD? I havn't picked mine up yet, next week hopefully.
Just bought a new 2200 and was wondering about a region free mod. Is it done by a firmware upgrade, remote hack, internel mod? etc. The aussie dollar is starting to look good so I might start buying r1 DVDs again. Thanks.
