i rented it and i had the same problem, had to exchange it for a vhs cause they were out of dvd, bleh. the vhs played fine, it just looked like crap :)

my old sony dvp-s7000 was so good at the layer switch that i rarely even knew when it happened (and this was one of the very first dvd players EVER) my brand new Pioneer Elite DV-38A has a very noticable pause, go figure...

As a dentist, I must say that flossing is very important, and contrary to popular belief, dental insurance is not really insurance...it's just a payment plan. I have yet to see anybody really get their money's worth. The "good" plans pay the dentist well so you are likely to get good work...

i've had a pioneer elite 710 for about a month. great tv, i'd recommend it to anyone. i've had a small problem though, anyone ever heard of this? in any bright scene (especially a pure white like a hockey rink) i have a pink tinted area right in the center of the screen that's about 8 inches...
