Oh, I had forgotten to mention price.... duh! We're hoping to stay under $2,000, but since I'm not sure you can do that and get a 1080p TV that would fit my specs, we're willing to consider going up to about $3,000. Anything more than that, while not entirely ruled out, would be pushing it for...
Howdy, I'm looking for some television suggestions to replace my out-going 65" RPTV. Here are my needs/wants/desires: -I'm looking for a TV about 50" to 60". My strong preference is about 56" or so, but I'd be flexible. -It cannot be a floorstanding RPTV, it has to be either...
Well, you might have a hard time finding them nowadays, but I'd say give a nice Citation amp a try. I have Maggies all around (sans sub of course) and use Citation 7.1 and 5.1 amps. I simply love those amps and it sounds, to me, really great!
Its nice to hear that this soundtrack is out; I've always liked the movie. I can't remember tho, who's on the soundtrack again? :D I couldn't resist....
Hi Joe, Thanks for the links. The Mye Sound stands look awesome; better than the Sound Anchors at first glance. Also, now I've checked out Planar Asylum, I think that I've found my new home! :) What a nice source of information. There is alot of good info. on the different Maggie stands and...
John, Thanks for the link; I hadn't thought to look at Parts Express (duh...). Anyway, I really like that set: the spikes look plenty nice and the threaded sockets for the spikes are just the sort of thing that I figured I was going to need to find on my own. How did they perform on your old...
Hey guys, In my never-ending quest to procrastinate, I've been trying to come up with differnt and interesting things to do and tweak and whatnot. Anyway, one of the things that I've thought about is adding some really good spikes to my SVS subs (I have two 16-46PC+ subs). I know that SVS...
Hello all, I've got a new query. I've been using a Magnepan system for about a year and a half or so now and I decided to check to see if Sound Anchor offered alternative stands for Magnepans. Lo and behold, the kind folks at Sound Anchor do offer some alternative stands, but they are even...
Hey guys, Sorry for the slow response, but I wanted to thank everyone for your information. I'm going to pass this on to my friend and maybe get him to come over and post a follow-up. Thanks for your help! If anyone has any other leads I should pass on, please don't hesitate to post...
Howdy folks, A friend of mine asked me a favor and, being the home theater fanatic among my friends, I felt I just had to try and fulfill his request. The problem is that this what he needs is somewhat narrow. He is in Korea and would like the films to be dubbed into Korean with English...
Overall I'm pretty happy with the DV-47Ai. In fact, I feel that its build quality is solid (although I wasn't used to things like the DV-09 when I got it). The multi-channel BM issues are only a minor annoyance. What really gets me, and my wife especially, are the layer changes. I think that the...
Hi Kevin, Thanks for the info. here as well! I think that the absolute most I'm going to be able to spend on a DVD player is $1500, and probably less. That might, unfortunately, rule out the Denon and force me to go with the Pioneer. However, I'm wondering if I was willing to go to Canada to...
Hey folks, No chroma bug would be great Kevin! And thanks for the link to the press release Doug. I know I had seen that somewhere, and I just couldn't find it again. Deciding between these two players will be difficult. I have the Pioneer DV-47Ai, and it seems to be that the Denon DVD-2900...
Does anyone have any links, a spec sheet, or anything like that for this upcoming player? I'd like to be able to compare it specwise to the Denon DVD-5900, but I can't seem to find the proper info.
I'd be interested to know at what price can this baby be had? In fact, I've been planning a trip to Canada and I'd be willing to purcahse it up there in the Great White North if I could be a really good price!
I've been a long-time window-shopper at Audiolab. Dave, the owner, has always been friendly and patient, even when I was a poor college student with more desire than cash; so when I decided to purchase a seven speaker system last year I went to Audiolab. I'm very happy with them and I'll give...
I can't believe that no one has mentioned any Jethro Tull/Ian Anderson lyrics.... for shame!!!
How about this Tull-tune:
I really don't mind if you sit this one out...
My word's but a whisper, your deafness a shout...
I may make you feel, but I can't make you think...
-Thick as a Brick
Finding the RLC-1 might be a bit more difficult than I had anticipated. Anyone else have alternative suggestions or know where I can pick one of these babies up? Thanks!
Unfortunately I don't own a digital camera. Do you need a description or is there any other info. I can provide? Let me know and I'll try to help (and thank you for passing on my ad). Take care!
I'm not feelin' the love people! :-) Seriously, I'm going to drop this one more time, but after this I'm planning to list it on another site(s). Now asking just $950 plus shipping.
