I was thinking about the various technologies that were heavily discussed in the forum over the last few years - forum members were concerned that they wouldn't catch on. Here's a few that I thought of: DVD's. Members thought they might not catch on with the general public. DTS. Ok...that...
I admit I was just a casual watcher of this show, but could someone explain to me what happened in the final episode? I mean: It looked as though most of the crew were killed! and what was the object that he was flying into?
Quick question...a 4:3 tv (like my 27" tv) is measured diagonally. Is this also true for wide screen tvs? ie: is a 43" wide screen measured from the top left corner to the bottom right corner?
Anyone know of any downloadable free/shareware blackjack software? I don't want to play online, I just want to practice with a version that simulates vegas style rules.
Someone asked me if I knew of an episode where William Shatner was especially melodramatic and spoke in particularly short sentences. They need it for a presentation. Any ideas?
Someone at work has a Pioneer RX570 which they believe has dolby prologic. Is anyone familiar with this unit? He wants to buy a dvd player to get 5.1 surround sound (so I'm guessing the player would have to have a decoder). There are no labeled dvd connectors in the back of the receiver, but it...
Here is a summary from the topic of "what speakers do you own". The list below is ordered by manufacturer, regardless of their location. ie: if a person has 2 B&W's for their fronts, 1 NHT for their center, and 4 Wilsons for their surrounds, the totals would be B&W 1, NHT 1, Wilsons 1. If anyone...
I can't find much rating info on the web about kvm switches. Any recommendations? I'm looking for 4 ports with usb capability. It's for our servers, so it has to be fairly reliable.
Was this game broadcast in the US? If so, I was wondering what was said (if anything) about the officiating? I'm not happy to hear that the US team had our flag on the floor of their locker room!
Still considering wireless headphones, and am wondering how they get connected to the system. Does the transmitter hook into my receiver's headphone jack, or some other output? To use wired headphones with my yamaha 2095, the manual says you have to turn off speakers A and B, turn off the EQ...
Can anyone identify this movie: there is a guy on a bus with a bunch of Lucy impersonators, where a cow hanging from above hits the windshield? And a woman in a helicopter who sees her husband in a pool with some woman?
Thanks in advance
A friend just bought a surround receiver. However, he told me that the salesman at A&B sold him a video coaxial cable to be used in place of the audio digital coaxial cable (and said it would function the same). Does this make any sense?
My NHT SA-3 power amp doesn't come with a remote; I'm guessing that this is the case with a lot of amps. Is this the one type of equipment that has to be manually turned on and off (ie: can't be controlled by a pronto)?:frowning:
My NHT 3.3 speaker manual suggest bi-amplifying my speakers with their SA-3 mono amp (250 watts). Part of each 3.3 is an internal 12" long throw polypropylene subwoofer. Does this make sense, or would it be better to get an external subwoofer? Has anyone tried bi-amping their 3.3 (or...
I am considering buying my first sub (probably used from ebay) and I like the small size and black gloss appearance of the hgs line (they would match the appearance of my nht 3.3s and 2.5s). The room size is about 15'x15' (apartment), so I don't want anything too large. I've heard (and been...
