Quick question...a 4:3 tv (like my 27" tv) is measured diagonally. Is this also true for wide screen tvs? ie: is a 43" wide screen measured from the top left corner to the bottom right corner?

A friend just bought a surround receiver. However, he told me that the salesman at A&B sold him a video coaxial cable to be used in place of the audio digital coaxial cable (and said it would function the same). Does this make any sense?
