I'm not quite sure this is a mistake with the dvd release. On YouTube there is a video that is obviously not sourced from this dvd and it begins the same way.

I noticed in The Squire of Gothos that there is an audio glitch with the mono sound. In Chapter 2 when Kirk is introducing his crew, the sound level suddenly drops for a couple of minutes. It's not like this in 5.1 nor on the old dvd 5.1. Could this be how it originally was before a remix?

Does anyone know if the original Desilu closing logo is on these episodes without the 1978 Paramount copyright?

Is the original Desilu logo at the end or does it have the 1978 Paramount copyright at the bottom of Desilu?

I think another reason people get a little upset with mistakes in Disney titles is that they know it will be years and years before a new edition comes out.

Is there still a chance that Disney will offer a replacement disc for the audio omissions? How long does it usually take to hear something on the matter?

I wonder if I should call Disney Customer Service to report the soundtrack problems, or wait.

I understand. It is frustrating when you find something amiss and it seems that people don't understand or care...and it feels worse that you can't do anything about it. That's why I hope Disney finds out about the soundtrack omissions.

Chuck, I said maybe. I'm with you on this. I am so very upset about the missing dialogue I can't begin to tell you. And this on top of it makes me even more upset. I was just proposing a "maybe."
