Like the topic says I have a Rialto for sale in very good and hardly even used condition. I do not have the original box though I do have the manual and will pack it appropriately. Was bought new and only used for the subwoofer crossover. New price was around 400.00+ ,asking $180.00 OBO which...
Hehe figured that would get someones attention:D I agreed to work all the midnight shifts for a girl at work for a year (10 weeks total) in return for the 950's asking price. Not too bad for 10 weeks of mid-shifts! I did the same thing the previous year for her husband and got a Sony 19"...
Well I kind of agree about the bass being too strong in stereo on the 950 though it really only takes about 3-5 seconds to "trim" the sub down. I got my 950 in the second batch and other than the bass thing I have'nt had ANY of the problems that others have had. The real kicker for me was...
Okay sorry for the delay but here are the answers. 1. I drive them with one 2 channel pro audio amp. Each tempest is wired in parallel and recieves approx 600 watts each. 2. Yes I bought some "stuff" that is for lining your kitchen cabinets or drawers with. It is rubber based and keeps them...
I know what you mean Joe. One of my neighbors is too far away. The closest one says it doesn't bother her in her bedroom....the hallway is loud though. The one behind me competes and usually beats me for volume.....though it IS a live band doing it :D Overall I can't complain a bit!
Well if you can just get rid of one of them it should take care of it. I hope it solves your problem because I know what its like having to restrain your sub when you KNOW what it could do while watching a movie. Good Luck and let us know if that fixes the problem!!!
Is the fence physically connetced to both of your houses? If so then yes, though it doesn't amplify it but only transmits. In my case (above) there were 4X4 posts screwed to the sides of both our homes that the fence was attached to which provided a line for the bass vibrations to travel to...
Another factor which may not apply in your case but did in one house I lived in before is any actual physical connection between your houses. For instance me and my neighbor shared a wooden fence that was actually attached to both our houses. Basically a perfect transmission line from mine to...
Well the EBS played lower but also slower :D Seriously the sealed Tempests are much faster and to me seem to have much more impact or a higher slam factor. Instead of only feeling the house shake (which I still do) I now feel a more physical impact as well. Keep in mind that I have mine...
I am currently running 2 Mid-Q 122L Tempest subs. I have them stacked in the front left corner of the room. Yes they are kind of large when stacked but my (now discarded) EBS box actually took up more space. BTW I have them front firing instead of down firing as in the Adire plans.
Well I might have to order some this time. After checking around town after the last sale it seems I can actually save between 2-5 dollars per clamp depending on the size. Thats after shipping to Alaska......not too bad!! Of course it figures that I "could" have used them several days ago...
Hmmm so it would definately require some mods to fit into a Tempest hole pattern.
As to my original question.....
Based on the data available..........how much improvement SPL wise will the new driver be over my existing Tempest???
