yeah, the light engine. Boy, I hope when I get my replacement that it's all better. But I sure know a bunch of people that have gotten the engine replaced more than 2-3x! Well...maybe I can get an upgrade. sigh.

I have the April 06 stamp of the 60" XBR1 and just started getting a bright green line down the right of my tv about a month ago. On another forum, there is already an extensive amount of talk regarding the high amount of Sony XBR1 owners who have this problem. But I've not seen much discussion...

When you look at a white screen, do you see any color irregularities in the corners? Green lines or green shades?

Fixed it! It turns out, when you go to "Picture Mode" on the unit, below "User", is an option for picture adjustment. You can save all your settings within this as DEFAULT User 1 or any of the others. Since then, NO resetting to the Cinema 1 default picture mode. Now I ask you, not to rant...
