yeah, the light engine. Boy, I hope when I get my replacement that it's all better. But I sure know a bunch of people that have gotten the engine replaced more than 2-3x! Well...maybe I can get an upgrade. sigh.
I have the April 06 stamp of the 60" XBR1 and just started getting a bright green line down the right of my tv about a month ago. On another forum, there is already an extensive amount of talk regarding the high amount of Sony XBR1 owners who have this problem. But I've not seen much discussion...
Ah indeed...the link didn't work but I ran a search at CC. I'm getting mine today for my new 60" SXRD. Can't wait... Ok ok i'll admit...I pondered sticking some enclyclopedias back on the TV there to see if I could form a make shift center shelf for the center for the 2 days I'd be waiting...
Hey, I just bought the 60 inch Sony SXRD but the slope is REALLY REALLY extreme, making it difficult to mount the center properly. On my old Panny Tau set, the degree was more manageable, allowing me to put the center there for with only some wedges in the back to support it. A buddy of mine...

Hi, I have been all over the forums here and I've seen discussions ranging from pros/cons of different surge protectors, "what-are-surge" questions, as well as general fuse issues on components. While I was out at a hockey game, I let the girl-friend (WHO HAS BEEN TRAINED ON PROPER THEATER...
I was wondering if loud sounds damage speakers, i.e. bass from The Haunting or other movies that go from quiet to sharp explosions etc. I figured that well made speakers like B&W for instance (7's in my case), can handle sounds that even the human ear can't detect. I mean, good speakers seem...
