Edit: Excellent points Dave. I left feeling somewhat dirty for having seen it. And I'm definitely not the type of person to feel that way. I can't believe for one nano-second that someone would think it acceptable to bring anyone under the age of 18 to see this film.
I'm way late to the thread but I just recently had a friend recommend these two to me (maybe 3-4 months before you Ron) and I have watched almost nothing else saved Firefly and BSG. IMO, they are some of the best television that has ever been produced period. Granted I haven't watched alot...
I completely agree. I absolutely loved this film. Exceptional performances by Kinnear and Brosnan. I was really impressed with Brosnan and his performance. Easily one of the best movies that I've seen so far this year. Highly recommended!
I saw a link where pricing was mentioned at 60.00 per title for the first HD offerings? I hope that is horribly wrong info. Do we have any idea where pricing will be for Blu-Ray/HD titles? Are we in for a revert back to the days of laserdisc pricing? Most new release titles that I pick up...
I am saving the viewing of these masterpieces on DVD until my home theater is completed. Watching them on a 26" widescreen tube with stereo sound would be a huge disservice to the films. 50" plasma can't arrive soon enough!
Wow. I'm stunned. I would have mortgaged my house, cars etc. that Tana was going to win this but now I'll be pissed if she does. She did so many things wrong it's not even funny. Showed that she has zero leadership skills. I'm no Kendra fan (she comes off as a spoiled brat with her...
Excellent season--loved every minute of it and hope CBS keeps the series running! Anyone know if there's a season 8 in the works? If so I really hope they don't use celebrities of any kind. Bring out the normal/mostly-normal people! :D
So who's going to win this whole thing? I'm certain Jesse won't. My bet is with either Sergio or Alfonso. They both seem to be much stronger boxers than the other two. Though they did seem to highlight Peter for the upcoming episode.
Ohhh...excellent choice there John. I had totally forgotten about Frequency. That scene totally gets me every time and I completely agree---it's one of the most beautiful/touching moments in all of film for me.
I posted my thoughts in the review thread but I'll summarize here. I love the musical and really wanted to love this film. While I did enjoy it and would recommend it, count me among those that hated the Phantom's voice and found it seriously lacking. It just wasn't Crawford and is wasn't even...
I've seen the musical production several times and it's one of my all-time favorites. That being said here's a brief synopsis of my thoughts from my experience: Opening scene: OMG, jaw hits the floor. I absolutely loved how they handled the raising of the chandelier and "removing" the...
