I’ve largely not read any threads on The Mandalorian as I do not have Disney+. So I waited for a blu ray release. Fortunately Disney released the series and I just completed viewing Season One on the 4K blu ray. I thought it was quite good.

I can see that the species the child is from would be unknown to many. Perhaps Yoda‘s world is not a known one. I like that the series is set in the time frame following The Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Empire.

As I’ve not seen the second and third season yet, I gather that Fennec Shand returns later. As well as Moff Gideon.

Interesting premise that Mando is now going to be guardian to the child as he tries to locate his homeworld. It’s kind of like the Kung Fu series where the lead character roams the west in search of his family and encounters adventures along the way.

I started the second season of The Mandalorian several weeks ago and took a short break at the halfway point. I resumed last night and binged through to the second to the last episode. I was delaying a bit as there is no release date for the third season on blu ray and 4K as far as I know, but I have to see how the story ends the second season.

That's correct, but if I had to guess it would at the end of the year.

Without saying too much, you're going to need to see The Book Of Boba Fett next because it's essentially The Mandalorian: Season 2.5. Presumably, that will come on disc at the same time as the third season of Mando.

^ There are already rumors stating such from the usual Twitter accounts. To be fair, they were correct about Obi-Wan.

Thanks Travis! I’d like to see The Book of Boba Fett as well. I really wasn’t expecting to see him show up in The Mandalorian! That was a fun surprise.

I wonder if these will transition to Sony in an orderly fashion, or if they already have. So far I have gotten Andor S1, Mando S1, S2 and Loki S1. No interest in Obi-Wan, or a bunch of other series.
