Is about a literal beekeeper, who is also part of a more interesting organization - think Kingsman - and imho it's one of the more literate of the genre to arrive in many a year.
We're told what we need to know and given a minimum of extraneous background story.
It's also a nice showpiece for both Jason Statham and director David Ayer.
Other than that, best to go in cold and enjoy a terrific action thriller.
Most important, for the slipcover collector, this one from WB may prove to be a collectible, as while the design obverse reflects the normal disc packaging within, it's all printed on foil, allowing a wonderfully amber appearance. And then of course, descendants of Napoleon's bees.
Shot digitally, it presumably replicated the original files, and audio is proscenium filling Dolby Atmos.
Image – 10 (HDR)
Audio – 10 (Dolby Atmos)
Pass / Fail – Pass
Plays nicely with projectors - Yes
Makes use of and works well in 4k - 9
Upgrade from Blu-ray - Yes
Worth your attention - 8
Slipcover rating - 4
Highly Recommended
