The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Some more region-free releases, this week, from Powerhouse Films in the UK.  Pre-order HERE.

–No Best Buy Sunday flyer in my local paper again this week.

–Best Buy’s Weekly Ad is available at THIS LINK.

–Target this week has EXCLUSIVE PACKAGING AND CONTENT with Blu-ray copies of A Star is Born.  Not sure if this is at a higher price than a standard Blu release at Target since none is listed in the Sunday flyer.  But the Target EXCLUSIVE (which looks to be a digibook, I believe) is priced at $26.99.

–Target is also advertising a FREE $5 Target GiftCard if you buy BOTH the movie of A Star is Born (any format) AND  the Official Soundtrack CD ($11.99 which includes an EXCLUSIVE POSTER).

–And Target is advertising the following Blu-ray releases for sale:

$15.00:  Crazy Rich Asians, BlacKKKlansman

$17.00:  First Man

$19.99:  Bohemian Rhapsody

$20.00:  Incredibles 2, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War

$22.99:  Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch

$24.99:  Nutcracker and the Four Realms

$29.99:  Westworld: Season 2

  1. Big week, RoundUppers! (At least for those fans of A Star is Born…and it seems like there's a bunch of those folks around this forum! 😀 )

Plus, there's another round of some pretty interesting new release titles.

Hope you find something you like out there this week.

  2. Thank you, Mike!

I really like the Best Buy steelbook for A Star is Born…but I've had such trouble trying to get those before that I really don't want to fuss with it. It looks awesome, but it is just packaging, after all.

So I'm keeping my longstanding Amazon pre-order for that.

And I might consider BlacKkKlansman too if I end up at a Target. Or maybe I can keep waiting on it, since next week is going to be expensive. We'll see if the mood strikes me.

  3. I have a shipping notice from Target that A Death in Venice is coming to my door :rock::unsure:… courtesy of last weeks Buy2GetoneFree sale

I might wait for ASIB-2019 or at least buy more TP to get another gift card or two …

  4. It's also worth noting that Can You Ever Forgive Me? absolutely should be receiving a Blu-ray release, but isn't, in a moronic decision by Fox.

I would still highly recommend it as at least a rental for those interested if you missed it in theaters. I might get the DVD at some point, but it's lower priority than A Star is Born.

Based on your earlier comments about this film, it's been on my wish list at iTunes and it's a 4K/HDR digital download/stream too which makes it not getting a BD release even more dumbfounded.

Good to hear. Please do let us know what you think of it when that happens.

  7. I've got Overlord on the way, paid for Disk+Digital for Star (so I saw the digital a month ago!) and am reviewing Robin Hood now. Good week for 4k.

Overlord had THE BEST Atmos track I've actually heard in the theater. Cannot wait to hear it at home.

My Walmart has Robin Hood (2018) on 4K for $19.96, and blu-ray for $17.96.

Target Cartwheel has 15% off Robinhood on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD which with the 5% off Redcard would put it about at those pricepoints …(expires 03/05)
