Monoprice adds THX Certified on-walls to its lineup

Monolith by Monoprice has today announced the arrival of a new selection of THX Certified on-wall home theater speakers. The line comprises the slimline Monolith M-OW1 ($299.99) designed to be used as LCRs (pictured in header), the M-OW3 sound bar ($499.99), and the Monolith Compact Satellite Speakers ($249.99 per pair) intended as L/R or surround models.

The Monolith M-OW1 includes a 4.5-inch concentric driver with inset 20mm silk dome tweeter and two 4.5-inch passive radiators. The 4-ohm on-wall speakers deliver a “surprisingly” flat frequency response from 70Hz to 20kHz. The M-OW3 sound bar comes with three channels of 4.5-inch concentric drivers with inset 20mm silk dome tweeters, an optimized waveguide, and two 4.5-inch passive radiators, also boasting 70Hz to 20kHz frequency response. The smaller form factor Compact Satellite speakers are fashioned from MDF casings with precision-tuned cube shapes delivering a flat frequency response down to 80Hz.
