Forget it. Chances of Fox ever putting something out on their own that Shout started is slim-to-none.
And quite honestly, I'm glad. I do not want to see a disgusting, vile company like Fox, put older shows out on their own on DVD ever again, after they got away with ruining the music on many of...
The kings of music replacements and music edits? Hell no.
Does WKRP and The Fall Guy ring any bells? I mean Paul Williams in the TFG pilot, was gone forever, because of Fox's stupidity.
Oh, but Mark, don't you know? Fox has the worst-track record in securing original music? If PP, and any other Fox shows that Shout released were to continue, I do not want Fox to continue were they left off. I want Shout to do it. Don't you know what I mean?
Um, care to provide a link?
Also, Fox does NOT deserve to start a MOD program, after they got away with butchering so many TV-on-DVD releases in terms of securing original music. Don't you realize this? Or am I the only one?
Write to Mike Dunn, the CEO of Fox Home Entertainment, and tell him how ashamed he should be of being unrealistic and unreasonable with indies such as Shout and VCI:

Mark, do you know who is the CEO of Fox Home Entertainment, how long has he been with the company, and which other companies did he work with in the past?
I don't want Fox to release any of their older shows on their own on DVD. They have butchered them over and over again, whether it be music substitutions, or scenes missing for no reason.
This is why they're much better off in the hands of indies such as Shout and VCI
Mark, you don't think David Lambert was exaggerating when he said, and I quote "The first two home video releases sold well enough that Shout! was interested in continuing...", do you?
Mark, thank god you're not MatthewA or Todd Rutherford. The former had the nerve to claim that "It's possible they may not be allowed to disclose everything that goes on between them and their licensors.", and the latter claimed I was starting an "I hate Shout Factory Bandwagon". The fact that...
Mark, I actually brought this up in an unrelated thread, when I suspected that Sony (whom shout had been dealing with for around 5 years) may now be taking a cue from Fox.
And Mark, I don't think it's a good idea to ridicule Brian or consider him a king of misinformation (if that's what you're...
On Shout's Forum, I brought up their relationship with Fox, and mentioned you guys detecting a pattern about the way Fox deals with Indies, and indicating to all signs pointing to a dispute between two parties. This was what Brian Ward said:
I don't know. I'm still not so sure about this. Anyone...
None of the other major studios are playing hardball with the little guys. Only Fox is notorious for doing this. And I don't think it's just their pre-1970s' library. I think it also includes anything before The Simpsons. And have you forgotten? Bruke's Law was a STRONG seller for VCI. Sales...
There has to be a simple straight answer as to why Fox is playing hardball with Shout. The reason better not be because Fox plans on releasing themselves. That would be downright tragic if they did that.
And DeWilson, shame on you for defending Fox (aka Satan).
Sadly, it doesn't look like it.
BTW, if people like MatthewA and TVonDVDJunkie05 are to believed, it also turns out that Shout's relationship with Fox, at least as of right now, has completely soured. Fox is charging Shout an outrageous wad of cash just for more episodes of their shows. It...
Fox is definitely the strangest home video company. I have never seen a home video company act this strangely before. Were they always like this, even during the Magnetic Video era?
Fox likes to play hardball with just about anyone they deal with, even when the show is a strong seller such as Burke's Law. And yes, Fox should come down on what they are asking.
Seasons 1 & 2 are on Hulu, and judging from the running times, they appear to be uncut.
However, the picture quality looks like crap run over twice. It seems that Fox simply transferred the original 35mm film reels to 1'' inch tape in the late 70s', and never touched them again after that.
The amazon page says 810 minutes, which averages about 25-26 minutes.
Is it possible that the Romance Channels versions, are missing only the previously on, and next on segments?
Shout Factory's store listing for the set has been released, and it mentions the first 31 episodes being on there.
Shout! Factory Store
Also, the runtime on Amazon now says 810, instead of 720, so it looks like each episode will be approx. 25-26 minutes in length.
At the rate Shout! Factory...
