    I wonder, if Wrath of Khan were released today, would there be people saying, "I felt like I was missing something by not seeing the TV series," "It wasn't self-contained," and "What was the business between Khan and Chekov? Obviously something happened on the TV show but it was never explained...

    I don't get this criticism. Are you saying that movies like 24 Hour Party People, Swingers, and Clerks are like TV shows because they're filled with (at the time) unknowns? Are the Law and Order series like movies because they have stars who were famous before the show?

    In the US, yes, but that ".0" is significant -- it's only ten episodes. There'll be a BSG 2.5 in 2006 after the rest of season 2 airs. As for Canada, I remember seeing something about the release there being delayed.

    I'm not sure the alt cover art is any better. The upraised hand in particular looks wrong -- it looks too big to be River's and it's oriented wrong for Mal.
