I wouldn't touch the 3500 with a 10 foot pole. IF you are "already" considering the Yamaha, replace the 3500 with the 5500. What is your "total" budget cause you might be able to swing an AVR(refurb) with REAL speakers for the same cost anyway. And he probably meant this...for the Yamaha...- schan1269
