I dug out my old Twilight Time Blu-ray to compare, since that used a different masters, and the inconsistencies in both the sky and the skin tones are present on that as well. It's probably just how Frank Stanley shot it.

It's a gorgeous disc, although there does seem to be some minor variances in the color timing from shot to shot. The skies range from vaguely teal to vivid blue, and in during the same sequences, too. Although the really blue shots seem to consistently be the ones where the camera was placed at...

Got a copy on the way, finally. Looking forward to it, since it's always been one of my favorite Ciminos.
