    I just saw a 70mm print 3 times again last weekend, and saw the original dye-transfer prints many times during theatrical release. The Paramount vistaVision logo was B&W. To be fair, the sepia on the DVD plays OK, it is just not correct.

    I have a personal interest in Creature. Richard Carlson was my cousin. He played in many 50's sci-fi films, often as a scientist. I always enjoy watching him. I have seen this once in two-projector 35mm 3D and am awaiting the Blu-ray.

    Depends on the film actually. In 1954, the studios knew that there was a wide variety of actual AR's in use for a flat film, and hedged their bets accordingly. I think that 178 for DVD's and HD video has changed the situation considerably.
