The best choice here would've been to keep the show on the air for the sake of people's jobs, and recast Roseanne with Christopher Plummer.

I've been seeing speculation that's the real reason ABC dumped it -- the rest of the cast were all about to bail anyhow, so they pulled the plug to avoid looking like they were doing nothing.

Good fucking riddance.
