    What annoys you?

We never do anyway. On the rare occasions that we have packages to send, we bring them into the Post Office and present them to a clerk for posting and getting a tracking number. We always track any packages we send out, as well as track any packages coming to us.

We pay all of our bills on-line. We use maybe 2-3 stamps a year.

    What annoys you?

We in Concord, NH got a little under a foot. It was wet and heavy-ish, but not as bad as the previous storm. I made a comment to a neighbor passing by as we were clearing our driveway and sidewalk that it felt like we got more snow this time than the rest of this winter. Not strictly true, but...

    What annoys you?

I'm not sure what the cause and effect here is. I suspect that businesses like having the register determine what the change should be so that there's less of a chance of a mistake being made. But whether the lack of necessity in being able to work out the proper amount on the part of the...

    What annoys you?

Funny, I had that happen the other week. I got a $2 win on a lottery ticket, and wanted to apply that to $10 worth of lottery numbers I was buying. The cashier kept wanting to charge me the $10 while insisting that she applied the $2 win. Eventually she realized her mistake. She wasn't...

    What annoys you?

My wife used to do our taxes with Quicken. We didn't have a lot of complicated stuff to deal with, so that was fine. My mother passed away in 2016, and we discovered that there had been a quit-claim drawn up for her house, so technically, it had already belonged to me and my sister. We weren't...

    What annoys you?

There is a faster way. Maybe. Last time I got selected for jury duty here in NH, I was able to go on-line and answer some questions. Some fairly short time later, I got an email saying that I was excused from jury duty. Then again, I will probably never get picked to serve on a jury (I'm related...

Same with us. Oddly enough, some of it shows up in the daily Informed Delivery list, but gets filtered out by the PO before it reaches us. Some of it doesn't. Anyway, with respect to the spam calling I posted about the other day, my wife found these on-line while looking up "One Street...

    What annoys you?

I'm safe from that. I can't donate blood. Well, technically I can. But I've had lymphedema in my right arm as a collateral effect of cancer surgery necessitating removing several axillary lymph nodes. So, no pumps and no sticks in that arm. And I get enough blood draws in my left arm that it's...

Which is really the crux of the problem. It would be like playing Whack-a-Mole. Their voicemail also gives a phone number (didn't really pay attention to the number, and I don't want to play the message to hear it again) to call to discuss. My guess is that I'd get a phone tree asking me to...

    What annoys you?

"Sarah" from "One Street Financial". Some weeks back, while we'd be doing our things in the home office, my wife would occasionally get a call, and complain, "It's One Street Financial calling again; I wish they'd stop." Oddly enough, I wasn't getting those calls. But within the last week, I...

    What annoys you?

Microsoft's insistence that I let them do backups of my data. It seems like every few days I get a pop-up window that gives me only two options -- "Start Backup" and "I'll Do It Later" -- with no option for "I Don't Want to Do This. Period." I do my own backups, thank you very much, and don't...

    What annoys you?

I think it's less likely to be desensitization and more likely to be wanting to avoid a screaming match that might lead to a physical confrontation. Would it still be considered "road rage" if it's on a bus?

    What annoys you?

What I thought was funny was the comment saying "This guy wanted to send a message. He wants everyone on that plane to know he views himself as a superior being because he would never possibly engage in activity as lowly as watching the Super Bowl," and then proceeded to imply that he himself...

I found out late Friday afternoon that my father-in-law booked an appointment with one of his doctors for 9am on Monday. That's one of the oddities about Sam's Club (Wal-Mart's big-box store). It's impossible to find, for example, a pair of pants there with a waist size north of 40. Apparently, no one in Sam's Club upper management has noticed that a significant percentage of their customers can't fit into the...

Around here, every single Market Basket is a madhouse. The aisles are relatively narrow, and always packed with people. They have a dozen checkout lanes, but every one has a long line of people. I won't go into one unless it's absolutely my last and final option.

    What annoys you?

This brings up one thing that I find terribly annoying: people who insist on using "myself" when they mean "me" or, worse, mean "I". Within the last week I heard someone on the news say a version of "Myself and so-and-so did something". I can only assume that they think that it somehow makes...

I understand the value of all the latest safety features being installed on cars these days. I really do. What annoys you?

All of us are ignorant of one thing or another. Every time my wife and I see an ad on TV for some music awards program, we generally don't recognize most of the names of the "special appearances by" people. I'm also ignorant of most things regarding sports.

It's good for just about any spicy food. I learned this as a kid from my father eating spicy Armenian food. Rice (and any similar starchy food) is also good.
