Very few HB anthology type shows have gotten a dvd release in the original air format,
I'm hoping this is one that could possibly be done properly. Not holding my breath though....
Hard to believe it's been 7 years since one complete episode of the TOM & JERRY/GRAPE APE SHOW
was released on...
There is no way that kisscartoon.me is a legitimate streaming site, the content is obviously poorly pirated rips
of broadcast networks like Boomerang and teletoon, the 'bugs' are all over the screen and the quality of the
video is very low.
i think any chance of that set sail years ago when they did only the main segment of the show for DVD.
It's very unlikely they will ever revisit the series to release the rest of the material. Plas is just one of many
original anthology shows that was a victim of being chopped up and...
I'm hoping for the complete series of Goldie Gold and Action Jack,
it's got 13 episodes in a single season, perfect for one of these MOD sets.
They put one episode on the Saturday Morning 1980s DVD set
which i can't believe was released FIVE YEARS ago already.
It's a great show, deserves...
Yes, there is one new-to-DVD episode, Scoo-Be or Not Scoo-Be from The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries.
Here is the full episode list:
1. What a Night for a Knight (scooby doo where are you? season 1)
2. Hassle in the Castle (scooby doo where are you? season 1)
3. A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts (scooby...
According to several episode listing sources, there were 26 Atom Ant episodes over the two seasons it aired,
so it appears the DVD will have them all. The announcement says;
"Newly remastered, the 3-Disc, 26-Episode collection serves up an atomic cocktail of comedy and adventure"
Taken...
I agree, it seems like a lost opportunity to keep the shows from well known characters as
The Flintsones out of the DVD market. One would think there is more demand for
those shows than many of the more obscure 1 season those shows that have been
getting a release.
3 of the "famous missing 8" have made it to DVD on the various Scooby "spooky tales" compilation sets
that have come out over the past few years. All 40 shows (including those 8) are also available, with lots of other
Scooby shows from iTunes...
Still waiting for the complete Season of Goldie Gold and Action Jack.
I thought that one would have come out years ago, because there was
an episode on the DVD set "Saturday morning cartoons: 1980s Vol 1"
Most of the shows that appeared in the Saturday Morning Cartoon series
have received a...
Isn't it funny how that happens?!
I never saw Skatebirds because i was watching Scooby's All Star Laff-a-Lymics,
and i missed the Kroft Supershow, because i switched over to see the Batman/Tarzan Adventure hour,
or Shazam/Isis !
No, the content for Woofer & Whimper came from the single season of Clue Club on CBS.
What they did to create Woofer and Whimper is simply edit the scenes with the dogs into a short cartoon,
i think it was about 6 or 8 minutes. It ran first as a segment in 1977 on the 1 hour anthology show...
That's great news! Clue Club is on my must have list, and i thought it was never coming,
it's been years since it was first mentioned as a possible dvd release.
I'm still up for buying my list of hinted at shows from waaaaay back at the beginning of this thread:
1. Goldie Gold and Action Jack (1982)
2. Clue Club (1976)
3. new Fred and Barney show (1979)
4. Flintstone Comedy Show (1980)
5. The new Tom & Jerry Show (1975)
6. Jana of the Jungle...
I didn't really notice.
The credits they used for the set this time are the same ones that have been used the other times
some of these same episodes have been released on other dvds. The end credits have "1979"
in the copyright, as do the "black and white", which is I suppose the...
I got my copy of the 1979 scooby and scrappy show!
I was poking around my other DVDs from that era to see which one's i have, because i usually
like to watch 2 or 3 shows together, instead of all the episodes from one series back to back.
i'm happy to realize that the DVD of Captain Caveman...
I would guess they forecast only tiny number sales, and can't be bothered.
The window is closing on this type of content and delivery, that's my opinion
on why the releases have dropped off the map.
It was an hour long anthology show with short six segments:
The Flintstone Family Adventures
Bedrock Cops
Pebbles, Dino and Bamm-Bamm
Captain Caveman
Dino and Cavemouse
The Frankenstones
Those were just reruns from the first run of the half hour "the new Fred and Barney show"
which aired in the spring of 1979 on NBC. It was repackaged as an hour show in the fall, with a couple new
Fred and Barney segments airing with the reruns.
I hope someday they can release a set of those...
To be clear, i was referring to all the unreleased episodes that followed the original 60s series
(that Ben mentioned above).
There is a lot of material:
18 hour long episodes of the Flintstone Comedy Show (1972)
17 segments from The New Fred and Barney Show
18 anthology 90 minute...
It seems surprising more of the back catalog of Flintstones hasn't been released.
There are a lot of complete episodes that haven't been seen in quite some time,
One would imagine there is more of a market for Flintstones shows than many
of the one-off series that have been given a release on DVD.
I'll get season 1 with the full episodes. I'm not a Scrappy h8tr :)
Some of them are on youtube if you want to get a sample before deciding on the DVD.
You can read what writer Mark Evanier has to say about the character here:
http://www.newsfromme.com/?s=scrappy
Well, the first season (1979) episodes are full shows, the rest of them aired as part of the
Richie Rich/Scooby Doo Show, which alternated one 7 minute short from each show.
Season 1 is most like the other Scooby shows, in the next Richie Rich version, you got 6 segments
in an hour, but at...
http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Scooby-Doo-Surfs-Up-Scooby-Doo/20693
As I mentioned, i did some digging around and figured out which episodes
are on the next 13 Spooky Tales: Surf’s Up Scooby-Doo! dvd.
It has six new to dvd episodes, and it includes the first two of the half-hours from...
It's funny this was announced now, because I was just trying to figure out which episodes are on the next
13 Spooky Tales compilation DVD - "Surfs up scooby" which is coming May 5th. (it's also ironic because
that set is actually coming after the complete season one, on April 28th!)
WB has...
