I watched some of the MASH episodes on MeTV and I can see the soap opera effect. It's not always apparent but does appear. However the episodes look fantastic. They are brighter, have better color and more saturation and are much cleaner looking. I've never seen them look this good.
I agree the scene at the end of Officer Of the Day it looks like Alan and Gary didn't know what was coming. It's a really funny moment.
Tuttle is also my favorite episode. It's the best os MASH in my opinion.
I see they are in 16:9. It's hard to tell without comparing them to the originals if they are cropped from the 4:3 or newly made from the original film.
