    Criterion releases are the best.Unfortunately they are too expensive for me .They are also not region /zone free.Luckily I have an all region /zone player for blurays and dvds. I prefer foreign films to that emanating from the USA.

    THE WEDDING BANQUET has been out on bluray for a couple of years. Try www.yesasia.com.Unfortunately it is only available as part of a box set from the same director. I would like to see on bluray: PONETTE,NEVER ON SUNDAY,HE WHO MUST DIE -all classics.

    The UK release of EL CID was make from a newly restored 70mm negative. I thought it was brilliant.The French release is the same.

    Both BLOOD FOR DRACULA and FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN were released last year in Australia on bluray. Cost about $A11. FFF is only in 2D.

    I too am waiting for THE EMMIGRANTS and THE NEW LAND. They have been screened numerous times on television. They were both made for television originally but were mostly released in cinemas . Maybe they don't release old television films onto bluray in Sweden? Avoid the dubbed...

    What about LA STRADA? Truly one f the greatest films ever made.It is sadly missing from bliuray.
