Yeah, that's what I was worried about. Even in 1985 I felt mixed about the Goonies, and had that "one and done" feeling about it back then that has lasted till today. Aliens from 1986, also a big influence, really stands up imho. I've watched Aliens probably a dozen times in the last 20 years...

I haven't seen The Goonies since it was in the theaters 32 years ago, but I'm wondering if I should go back and revisit Sean Astin's first major role. This movie, as probably all of you know, was one of many influences on Stranger Things.

I agree that I would like it better if they released an episode a week, rather than all at once. But, since I really like the show, I'll take it any way I can get it.

This interview really helps me, because I felt like they were not letting us know much of anything about the workings and meanings of the upside down. But from this it seems they are planning to reveal a bit more in seasons 3 and 4.

Would you be willing to explain this a little? I feel dense, but now that I've watched the whole show I don't think I understand what you are saying here.
