Alfred Hitchcock films available on blu-ray

I understand but unfortunately for all of us catalog fans, these titles just don't sell. The majority of younger buyers just want films made during their lifetime and have no appreciation for older films.

Alfred Hitchcock films available on blu-ray

WAC releases blu-rays all the time.....and has a Hitchcock (The Wrong Man) coming next month. All the BD's the Archive has released have been great quality. And in today's marketplace, not much difference between the Archive and Warner Home Video. Most brick and mortar stores don't carry deep...

Well worth importing...I'm not region-free so I imported the the Aussie release a couple of years ago. It's region-free and has the same transfer as the Masters of Cinema release that's region B locked. http://www.amazon.com/Lifeboat-Life-Blu-Ray-Reg-A-Import/dp/B00EEQ1Q18

I looked at the available specs for all editions of "The Lodger" from the UK and France. Looks like all versions are Region-B locked :(

No the UK Masters of Cinema is region-locked (region b). Only the Australian release ( same Transfer) is region-free.

Alfred Hitchcock films available on blu-ray

Mostly region b I'm afraid. As for quality, 2 of the recent releases (Capricorn One and The Quiller Memorandum) have received middling reviews. I don't personally have any of their releases, so that is purely anecdotal.

Alfred Hitchcock films available on blu-ray

Yep, $26 is about what I paid via Amazon UK. The price thru some of the Aussie sites like JDHIFI is cheaper but some charge $8-10 bucks for shipping to US. Not sure of when we might get a Region A release, Fox has the rights I think, as they released a Special Edition DVD in 2005. Maybe this is...

Alfred Hitchcock films available on blu-ray

To the best of my knowledge (and I've looked at all regions), "Suspicion" has not been released on BD ANYWHERE. Surprising, as this is a pretty high profile Hitchcock film, nominated for Best Picture and a winner of Best Actress for Joan Fontaine. It's held by Warner's so maybe it's among the...

I completely forgot that one! Indeed, that would make a nice 5-film boxset! Wonder what they'd call it? We've had the "Masterpiece Collection", the "Premiere Collection", and the "Ultimate Collection"....maybe Warner's could just call it the "Sorry We're So Late to the Party" Collection :)

Alfred Hitchcock films available on blu-ray

My most-wanted Hitch on BD at this time would be: 1- Suspicion (believe it's with Warners, maybe a 2015 release if they indeed ramp things up per RAH's post) 2- The Paradine Case (is this with MGM, as they released it in 2008 as part of DVD "Premiere Collection"? If indeed MGM, would this be a...
