i just came across these 3 clips from the Trilogy that are uploaded to YouTube with HDR. first thing first, i couldn't tell if these were from streaming source or physical media source. in GodFather... ...this scene certainly have some scenes darkend when i switch on HDR from my TV picture...

wasn't the FHDBD and the UHDBD were sold as single format sets? and were packed in slim digipacks? where are your set from? doesn't seems to be the 5disc sets i saw in Amazon... as well as various unboxing vids in YouTube.

Call me greedy... I appreciate the restoration efforts that brought back some details in the photography. Yet, i also prefers the little brightness in the old transfer that would not be darkened by HDR processing in the 4K transfer... that seems to be a common issues with 4K remasters, for...

man... It's a tough choice! i prefer the older transfer with that slight yellow orangey tone to reflect the time of that era through films... but... i also appreciate that restoration of details in the 4K release that the overall picture have to be slightly “darkend”...
