    The Movie Critic

It is interesting to think about what he could do and genres he could get into. He has done crime films, westerns, war, I guess you would call Kill Bill sort of a martial arts film, he's done what is sort of a horror film/car chase deal with his half of Grindhouse, and with his last film...

I did wonder how he would build a revenge theme into a film about a movie critic. I'm sure some movie critics have reviewed films with revenge in mind, but Quentin is the king of wacky, over the top, violent revenge and has pretty much focused on that. I mean, it would have been funny if he...

    The Movie Critic

I think he loves the idea of other filmmakers and industry people praising and rewarding his work. I don't think he would likely change his work in order to please them. I think he will tell the story he wants to tell, whatever that may be.

    The Movie Critic

I think what I wonder most about with this project is, what will be the "revenge factor" in this? His pictures seem to have a really deep focus on cathartic revenge and so I wonder how that fits into a story about a movie critic and the movie business. Sure, there probably is a lot of petty...

Maybe the plot of this new picture is a movie critic gets so furious with George Lucas because Star Wars destroyed anybody going to see Friedkin's Sorcerer, that she goes and kills him with a flamethrower.

    The Movie Critic

I've heard Quentin talk about a lot of pictures, Star Wars is not one I have heard him mention. Probably he feels you don't need to talk about Star Wars due to the mega blockbuster status of the film. Have you ever heard him mention it, and if so what were his comments on it? It seems like a...

    The Movie Critic

This will be the film where Pauline Kael uses a flamethrower on studio execs that want to make nothing but sequels, prequels, remakes, and franchise films. Tarantino is going to make Kael an action star to rival Ripley from the Alien pictures.
