btw everyone in the audience at my arthouse screening of No Way Home yesterday in Albany seemed to be adhering to the new NYS mandate. It was also only about 1/4 full so social distancing was fairly good.
It was a good movie but very different especially in the book. I'm not sure I'm on board with all of the changes.
Rachel Zegler was wonderful as Maria and I think her vocals sounded better than Marni Nixon.
Ansel Elgort has a decent voice but was completely outclassed by Zegler's and his Tony...
I also got tickets for my mother and I in IMAX for Thursday night. I'm a bit worried that as of this morning there has only been 7 tickets sold including mine and my mother's.
WSS was one of the last films I saw projected in 35mm. I was glad I saw it but the print was clearly faded. A few months later at the same theater I saw the last film I saw projected, Pulp Fiction.
I count 13 people whose names sound female listed in the cast of new Jets. A couple of them could be males with female sounding names but probably not 12 of them. It looks like this version is making the gangs a lot more co-ed.
