    The AHRA makes it illegal to encode inaccurate SCMS copy generation status information on a CD. I wonder if studios think they can get away with it if they decide to press CDs that are already flagged as being generational copies.

    My guess: No. The technological measure does not "effectively control access". CD players can still play the discs.
