I agree that a Sunfire sub would be a downgrade instead of an upgrade. Disabling the 10" drivers in your Def Techs should help dramatically. I believe this is probably merely a case of someone used to boomy bass. Just the fact that you are looking for "bone crushing" bass... Infrasonic...
