Well at the point Obi-Wan takes Luke to the Lars homestead, they don't know Vader is still alive, do they? Maybe they figure Luke can keep the Skywalker name without having to worry about Vader looking around for him.
I thought Palpatine's line to Anakin gave him enough motivation to murder the Jedi in the temple: "Do what must be done, Lord Vader. Do not hesitate. Show no mercy. Only then will you be strong enough with the dark side to save Padme."
I'm surprised at how emotional this movie made me. I didn't think the previous 2 were that good, but this one shot right up to #2 in the saga for me (Behind ESB). I mean, I was literally blindsided with this movie, I can't stop thinking about it. :emoji_thumbsup:
