I don't think that's an unfair criticism but I like how they are dealing with both the murder mystery and the past & current private lives of the characters.
I don't know what it says about me but I like them because they're not likable. You don't see enough assholes on TV.
Also, John Hawkes doing that Leonard Cohen-esque song was pretty cool.
Yeah, I watched it live and at the end of the episode, they said it'd be up on HBO Max on Friday at 9 PM. I assume it'll also be on On Demand then too.

I know what you mean but I wouldn't worry that much about it because HBO is the king of misleading advertising. And I don't mean that as a critique because I like that they try to fool me rather than show me exactly what happens.

I'm only talking about my opinion on the show which hasn't changed since the episodes aired. As far as I'm concerned, the second season got an unfairly brutal reception. I don't think the negative reaction had as much to do with the quality of the episodes as that expectations were way too high...
